Bridging Cultural Heritage and Faith for South Asian Communities
SAAMNAD (Southern Asian Adventist Ministries of North America Division) focuses on reaching the growing South Asian population in the United States and Canada. This strategic ministry serves immigrants from the "10/40 window" region, with particular emphasis on people from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
We develop culturally appropriate approaches to sharing the Adventist message with South Asian populations, including friendship evangelism, respectful dialogue, and addressing worldview issues relevant to Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, and other faith traditions common in South Asian communities.
We establish South Asian Adventist Community Centers in major urban areas with significant South Asian populations, offering English classes, health programs, cultural celebrations, and spiritual exploration opportunities that create natural bridges of understanding and friendship.
We connect South Asian Adventist professionals for mentorship, fellowship, and collaborative outreach, while developing podcasts, video content, and social media resources specifically designed for South Asian audiences addressing relevant cultural, social, and spiritual themes.
Our Sacred Purpose
SAAMNAD represents a strategic investment in reaching one of North America's fastest-growing immigrant populations. Through culturally sensitive approaches and targeted outreach efforts, we aim to build meaningful bridges to communities that have traditionally had limited exposure to the Adventist message, creating spaces where South Asian believers can grow spiritually while honoring their cultural heritage and sharing their faith with others.
